WEAVE Proudly Partners in SacRT’s Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign
This January, in recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, WEAVE is proud to partner with Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) and local community organizations to help shed light on human trafficking in our region. Together with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, and Soroptimist International of Elk Grove, we are supporting a public awareness campaign aimed at educating the community, connecting survivors with resources, and empowering everyone to take action if they see something suspicious.
A key part of this effort is the SacRT Human Trafficking PSA video, which highlights common warning signs and provides guidance on how you can help protect vulnerable individuals. We encourage you to watch and share the PSA — spreading awareness helps save lives.
Watch the PSA and learn more here.
If you or someone you know may be a victim of human trafficking, or if you suspect trafficking activity, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888, text “BEFREE” to 233733, or visit humantraffickinghotline.org. In an emergency, always call 9-1-1.
WEAVE provides confidential support and resources for individuals impacted by human trafficking. Survivors can access crisis intervention, advocacy, safety planning, and connections to essential services through WEAVE’s 24/7 Support Line. If you or someone you know needs help, support is available.
