The Residential Services Maintenance Representative is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment for WEAVE Residential Services locations. WEAVE is looking for someone who is dependable, task-oriented, and thorough, can work independently, manages their time well, and communicates effectively with their supervisor to succeed in this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all management, staff, clients, vendors, building tenants and contractors.
• Execute tasks related to daily cleaning and maintenance WEAVE’s  Residential Facilities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, removing trash, and assisting with deep cleaning rooms or apartments when client exit.
• Assist with checking for broken furniture or appliances needing to be repaired or replaced.
• Stocking and restocking bathroom, kitchen, and office supplies.
• Assist with organizing and sorting donations received for WEAVE and its clients.
• Execute tasks and cleaning projects related to cleaning and organizing spaces at WEAVE’s business office.
• Inform staff of any maintenance facility needs, for example: a clogged toilet, broken garbage disposal, or if a client communicates a maintenance need.
• Maintain facility safety following safety policies and procedures and by notifying supervisor of any potential hazards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year minimum experience in professional cleaning services.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and be sensitive to the needs and situations of domestic and sexual violence survivors.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries. ADA Job Characteristics: Work environment is primarily inside and outside an emergency shelter which houses clients with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds up to waist length, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25 to 50 of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force often, extend both arms above the head and/or reach below the waist, stoop, squat, crawl, bend the back to floor, or to retrieve stored items. Stand frequently; use fine manipulation (hands and wrist) to take notes. Speak in normal vocal tone and range, and communicate clearly and concisely to and with others. Apply normal reasoning, emotional control, integrity, objectivity, and detail as required in the accomplishment of job duties.
