On March 3, WEAVE CEO Beth Hassett was named Fox 40’s 2026 Remarkable Woman for the Sacramento region. Hassett is one of 125 Remarkable Women nationally who were chosen from more than 12,000 nominations. 

Hassett was selected in recognition of her two decades of leadership at CEO of WEAVE and how her vision and leadership has transformed how our community supports survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking. This includes recognizing the challenges that she has encountered over her years with the organization including figuring out how to construct a new Safehouse during the recession, navigating the complexities of the COVID 19 pandemic, and the challenge of funding shifts and priority changes at the state and federal level.  

Hassett will travel to Nashville, TN on March 6 where she will join the other 125 Remarkable Women of 2026. The weekend will culminate with a gala where five regional winners will be announced along with the national winner.
