Summary: Under the supervision of the WEAVE Retail Director, the WEAVE donation attendant is responsible for working with the Donation scheduling associate to coordinate all Donor Community Pickups, as well as pickups at other WEAVE retail locations, as needed. Donation Attendant will also be responsible for maintaining the warehouse and hauling as well as discarding unused material to the proper area such as the dump or rag man as needed. Transporting seasonal items from the warehouse to the stores as needed. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

Retail Operations

  • Perform general retail duties as necessary.
  • Ensure that work area is organized, clean and safe

In-kind Donation Coordination

  • Pick up in-kind donations for the stores for processing
  • Assist with donations from donors, provide receipts
  • Maintain documentation of donated goods and services
  • Provide excellent stewardship and customer relations with all donors

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend In-Service meetings, agency staff meetings, and other agency meetings as needed
  • Other job duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:                               

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills:    

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:   

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have access to Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Working knowledge of email.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  A current valid CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.
