Day of Schedule
11:00 am – Registration Opens
Registration will take place in the WEAVE Alley, located on 19th
between K Street and L Street.
11:00am- 2:00pm – Walkers are invited to stay and enjoy adult beverages, music from DJ Epik, visit the vendor booths, and kids can participate in activities in the Sacramento Children’s Museum Kid’s Zone. There will also be food trucks on-site.
11:15am – 1:30pm – Walkers will walk the route at their own pace,
and when their feet are ready. Stop at each station
along the way, get your passport stamped and stay for a bit at
each location to get to know our neighbors.
Walk Route:
“1/4 Mile” Stop - Mango’s
Stop into Mangos, get your passport stamped and enjoy a snack
provided by Burgertown! Also enjoy some games and
activities.
“1/2 Mile” Stop – Kennedy Gallery
Join I Heart Media for a mini photo booth session, get your
passport stamped and then stop into the Kennedy Gallery for an
art activity and enjoy the special art installation brought in
just for the “Shoe-Over.”
“3/4 Mile” Stop – WEAVE Alley
We will have a photographer stationed at the Big Red Shoe
sponsored by SMUD to take your individual photo or your teams
photo. All photos will be emailed out post event. All walkers
will be asked to stop by the Why I Walk booth sponsored by
Forester Purcell Stowell PC, to get your passport stamp and
participate in the sign making.
“1 Mile” Stop – TRUE
Stop into TRUE for your final passport stamp, grab a mimosa, a
coupon, and exchange your shoes for your finishers
medal.
For any walkers who want to walk a real mile, the walk route is
four laps around the block. We will be providing encouragement
along the way for your lap and each person who completes the full
mile will be provided with an additional sticker for their
medal.
3:00 pm – Festival Closes
Parking Options
Street parking is available all throughout midtown with no charge
on Sunday. We encourage any walkers that will be enjoying adult
beverages to consider taking a ride share.
Bike parking is available at various bike parking stations near
19th and K.
