We just don’t wear our good shoes in the rain. Or the mud. Or when there is lightening. All of these are the unfortunate reality of storm we are experiencing.

Our staff spent the day at Crocker Park. Unfortunately, the rains have left the park with standing water and mud. So much mud. It is simply not safe to ask our community to walk the mile in the current conditions.

We are cancelling tomorrow’s event but are asking our supporters to commit to walking the mile in solidarity with survivors. Walk in your home, neighborhood, anywhere. Count your steps (2,000 steps = 1 mile or use your FitBit). Post your walk to social media and tag WEAVE (@WEAVEInc). While we all prefer to walk together, each of us can steps to create a safer and healthier community at any time.
