A Legacy of Giving Back

Event

WEAVE is proud to honor our partnership with Faces Nightclub and celebrate the incredible legacy of its founder, Terry Sidie. For four decades, Faces has been more than a nightlife destination — it has been a safe, affirming space for Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ community and a steadfast supporter of WEAVE and the survivors we serve.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Faces gave back in a big way — hosting weekly giveaways to support several local nonprofits, including WEAVE, while also spreading joy to lucky patrons. The anniversary celebration was a night filled with connection, community, and generosity.

Terry Sidie’s impact reaches far beyond the dance floor. Since opening Faces in 1985, he has helped shape the Lavender District into a vibrant hub of inclusion and pride, founded the Rainbow Festival, and served as a leader in CGNIE – the United Courts of Sacramento, Redding, Chico, and Stockton. Named a Grand Marshal of Sacramento Pride in 2024, Terry’s decades of dedication show how creating safe spaces and giving back can create lasting change.

We are deeply grateful for our ongoing partnership with Faces and Terry Sidie — and for their shared commitment to building a safer, more inclusive Sacramento.
