Position Summary: WEAVE has a part-time position available for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to be responsible for maintaining day-to-day facilities operations for all WEAVE locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the prioritization and timely completion of all maintenance and facilities service tickets
  • Assess agency’s maintenance needs both proactively and as issues arise, and consult with Client Services and Operations Supervisor to determine if the use of contracted vendors with specific licenses and/or expertise is needed (ex HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc)
  • Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all management, staff, Safehouse residents, vendors, building tenants and contractors
  • Coordinates special projects, such as office moves, recycling efforts, Safety Committee directives, and other requests
  • Maintains all facility keys, ensure all exterior and interior doors and locks are in correct working order, and make copies of keys as assigned
  • Coordinate with IT Department to assist with new equipment and office machine installation
  • Regularly assists in retrieving donations from and to WEAVE locations, including donor or storage locations
  • Maintain facility safety by notifying Client Services and Operations Supervisor and Safety Committee of any potential hazards
  • Purchase tools and supplies
  • Along with Client Services and Operations Supervisor, ensures all scheduled building maintenance and inspections are being performed
  • Monitors and maintains all building properties to be professionally presented inside and out.
  • Completes and submits payroll timesheets and mileage logs in a timely manner. 
  • This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25 to 50 of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force often.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years maintenance or “handyman” type experience required 
  • Professionalism and good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite, ticketing systems (Spiceworks, etc.)
  • Provide copy of valid California driver license, have reliable transportation, and submit current proof of vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work, evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
