What’s our Story?
At the soul of TRUE is the desire to make the world a safer place for everyone to live, love and thrive. The idea is simple; by weaving the community and their closets together we can find solutions to the epidemic of domestic violence and sexual assault. We believe that change begins with action. By choosing to shop, trade or donate at TRUE you are giving rise to a world of violence free living. Through a simple clothing trade, or donation to TRUE we can raise funds to support programs and services that allow WEAVE to continue keeping women, men and children safe, and move them from a place of fear to fearlessness.
How to Donate
Clothing donations made at TRUE support the mission of WEAVE™ by providing free clothing to victims of domestic violence through our WEAVE to Work program. Our guarantee to you is that your donation will be re-loved, re-sold or recycled to mother earth in a responsible manner.
- Donations are graciously accepted anytime the store is open.
- We appreciate your donations and accept ALL brands!
How to Sell or Trade
To sell your clothing you must be at least 18 (or accompanied by an adult) and present a valid photo ID. Options include a driver’s license, passport, state or US military ID.
TRUE buys and sells fashion forward, quality women’s and men’s clothing, accessories and jewelry. We hand select the clothing based on style, condition and most importantly, what we think our customers want to buy.
Our promise to you is that we will assess each one of your items with the same care and love you did when you originally purchased it. We will offer you the best exchange rate for your fashion, and for those items that just don’t quite fit the criteria we’ll offer you the option of donating in support of WEAVE programs and services.
- We have limitations on how much we buy and what we buy. This depends on current stock levels and varies from day to day. We look at gently used items that are less than two years old, in good condition, in-season, in-style and ready to be re-loved.
- We do a limited amount of buying/trading from 11am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday. We do NOT buy or trade on Sunday.
- When selling/trading, we offer 40% store credit or 35% cash back.
- We are happy to look over your items, if they are not picked up within three days, we will donate them to WEAVEWorks on Arden. We will be happy to provide a donation receipt.
What brands do you buy?
We buy clothing with the intention of inspiring the fashionista’s and fashionmanista’s of the world to build on their personal style. You know, and we know, it’s not fun to be labeled or put in a box. Therefore, we look for style and unique apparel, handbags, shoes and accessories that will inspire our shoppers. The merchandise selection we have on hand also determines what we buy. It is always our pleasure to take peak at your items. We are grateful to all those who donate, sell or trade at TRUE and promise to offer you a big helping of human kindness along with your donation, cash or trade. If you still have questions on what we buy or accept in donation, please call TRUE and talk to one of our buyers directly.
TRUE responsibly recycles all clothing to ensure the least amount of waste in our landfills. Did you know that 5% of our landfills are composed of textiles? The EPA estimates that 99% of those textiles are reusable. Responsible recycling keeps your clothing out of landfills so we’re a happier, healthier planet.
