TRUE Location Closed to Create Space for Expanded Survivor & Community Services

At WEAVE, we’re constantly evolving, just like the communities and survivors we serve. As we continue to evaluate our role as a comprehensive provider of survivor-centered services and a trusted leader in the movement to end violence, we’re also focusing on optimizing our resources, including our physical space.

In our journey, we’ve found that our Midtown programs struggle with limited space for survivors and staff. Moreover, our TRUE store, which has been part of our building for eight years, hasn’t generated enough revenue to justify its use of our valuable space. Embracing this challenge, we see it as an opportunity to transform this space into something more impactful.

On October 28, we closed TRUE as a dedicated retail space. However, our retail operations will continue at our WEAVEWorks location on Arden Way and The Thrift Store: WEAVE Bargain Center on Fruitridge. The spirit of TRUE will persist through reimagined purposes, including weekend pop-up events and parking lot sales, offering fashion enthusiasts great deals year-round.

We are excited about expanding the TRUE space to host client activities, workshops, staff trainings, and gatherings. We envision a vibrant place with rotating art exhibits, pop-up events featuring local makers and artisans, all in alignment with Second Saturday. This eclectic space will also serve as a community hub, available for use by our community partners for their gatherings, and private events.

The TRUE space will transform into our WEAVE Winter Wonderland toy shop for the rest of the year. Stay tuned for more exciting details about our upcoming events in 2024. Your continued support means the world to us as we continue to enhance our mission.
