It is almost that time again—time for WEAVE’s annual Holiday Toy Shoppe! Last year, we were able to ensure toys and gifts were available to 194 families with 479 children because of amazing donors and community members. We are grateful for all those who selflessly give time, energy, and toys to ensure a joyful holiday season for victims of violence each year.

We need help to sustain this tradition! We are requesting assistance in brightening up the holidays for these women, men, and children. Please consider donating new, unwrapped toys and gifts or hosting a toy drive at your work, school, church, or service club.

WEAVE’s Holiday Toy Shoppe provides an opportunity for parents to shop for their children and ensures the families we serve can provide a joyful holiday for their children. The Holiday Toy Shoppe is made available to any client in need who has used WEAVE services in six months preceding the holiday season. The parent can select three toys and a book for each child.

WEAVE will be accepting donations beginning Monday, November 26 through Thursday, December 20, 2012. A wish list of items is provided for your convenience as well as information about hosting a toy drive.

Would you like to volunteer at Holiday Toy Shoppe this season? WEAVE will be hosting our required volunteer orientation in November to accommodate those interested in helping even more during the holidays. This training along with a completed background check is required for Holiday Toy Shoppe volunteers.
