WEAVE, located in Sacramento, CA, seeks a Donation Attendant/Driver who will deliver outstanding customer service, treat all donations as treasures, maintain a clean, organized facility, and always be respectful.

The Donation Attendant/Driver is responsible for working with the Donation scheduling associate to coordinate all Donor Community Pickups, as well as pickups at other WEAVE retail locations, as needed.

You have a direct impact on the success of your store, which in turn affects the success and outcomes of our mission. Your completion of all job responsibilities directly impacts all team members in the store, the leadership team, your direct supervisor, customers, and donors. 

In this nonexempt, part-time role, you will be an essential member of our Retail team, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for maintaining the warehouse, scheduling regular maintenance of all WEAVE Retail vehicles and hauling as well as discarding unused material to the proper area such as the dump or rag man as needed.
  • Transporting seasonal items from the warehouse to the stores as needed.
  • Perform general retail duties as necessary.
  • Ensure that work area is organized, clean and safe

In-kind Donation Coordination

  • Pick up in-kind donations for the stores for processing

  • Assist with donations from donors, provide receipts
  • Must be able to drive WEAVE Box truck as well as WEAVE Van.
  • Maintain documentation of donated goods and services
  • Provide excellent stewardship and customer relations with all donors

Education and/or Experience:                               

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Retail experience preferred. 

 Language Skills:    

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:   

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  A current valid CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
