WEAVE received a $10,000 grant to support its SART program from
the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. The funds were
received through the Community Greatest Needs Fund as part of the
larger Local Services Stabilization effort. The Community
Greatest Needs Fund grant program fills critical gaps in service
by providing funding for nonprofit provided programs which were
previously provided by the county. By statute, every county in
California is required to provide a sexual assault advocate to
any victim receiving an evidentiary examination.
