Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) Workshop helps survivors apply for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. There is no appointment necessary, no cost for the workshop and no filing fee for the restraining order. There is free childcare available at the courthouse for children who are one year old to 12 years old. There is low cost parking in the courthouse parking lot (.50 per hour). The nearest light rail station is the Power Inn Station.

The workshop is held at the William R. Ridgeway Family Relations Courthouse, 3341 Power Inn Road, Sacramento, CA 95826, Monday through Friday 8:45 AM to 12 PM. Workshops are NOT held on court holidays.

Court Preparation Workshop helps survivors once they have filed a Domestic Violence Restraining Order and have a hearing date scheduled. At this workshop survivors will learn valuable information about the restraining order hearing, what to say and do in court, and what kinds of evidence to present to the judge. There is no childcare available and children are not allowed in the workshop.

The workshop is held at the WEAVE Counseling Center at 1900 K Street in downtown Sacramento on the following days and times:

  • every Thursday, 10:45 AM to 1:00 PM

Dissolution Workshop assists survivors in starting a divorce or legal separation case. Survivors will fill out the necessary paperwork and receive information about the process of getting a divorce or legal separation in Sacramento County. There is no childcare available and children are not allowed in the workshop.

The workshop is held at the WEAVE Counseling Center at 1900 K Street in downtown Sacramento on the following days and times:

  • second Thursday of the month, 6:15 PM to 8:30 PM
  • third Wednesday of the month, 2:45 PM to 5:00 PM

Telephone and In-Person Consultations with a WEAVE Legal Advocate are arranged on a case-by-case basis. You may receive legal information and referrals regarding your domestic violence and family law issues in Sacramento County.

Court Accompaniment to a restraining order and/or family law hearing may be provided by a WEAVE Legal Advocate. In order to provide this service, we must meet with you prior to the hearing.
