WEAVE provides assistance with Temporary Restraining Order applications for victims of domestic violence residing at its confidential Safehouse.  

WEAVE can offer referrals to local low-cost legal services for assistance with court representation, custody, and divorce proceedings.  To access referrals, please contact WEAVE's 24 hour Support & Information Line at 916.920.2952.

There are several legal resources available in the community:

Temporary Restraining Order Workshops 

Assistance in completing the paperwork required to obtain a domestic violence restraining order.  Workshops are held at the William Ridgeway Family Courthouse.  These workshops are not offered by WEAVE and WEAVE is not responsible for the scheduling of these workshops.

Information on preparing for a domestic violence restraining order hearing.  You must have been granted a restraining order prior to attending.
