Domestic Violence Response Team

The Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) is a program that WEAVE offers to domestic violence survivors that live within specific areas of Sacramento County. DVRT is a joint project of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department and WEAVE. WEAVE Advocates support survivors following a report of domestic violence to law enforcement.

DVRT services include:

  • Support and advocacy through the investigative and criminal justice processes
  • Help with filing for a Temporary Restraining Order
  • Accompaniment to case related court hearings
  • Accompaniment to Detective and DA interviews
  • Information regarding arrests, bail and releases
  • Prioritized referrals to WEAVE's Legal Department
  • Assist with accessing WEAVE's services, including the Safehouse and counseling for themselves and their significant others
  • Inform survivor of community resources including Victim Witness Compensation program

The Domestic Violence Response Team program covers a large portion of Sacramento County. The designated areas are:

Northeast: Orangevale, Carmichael, Fair Oaks

Northwest: North Heights, Antelope, Rio Linda, Elverta

North Central: Arden, Auburn Blvd., Arcade

Central: South Sacramento
