Counseling Services for Adults

Crisis Line

WEAVE’s counseling program for survivors of domestic violence provides a safe environment for discussion and the tools necessary to improve self-esteem, self-determination and safety.

The WEAVE services workshop will provide you with important information about domestic violence and WEAVE’s services. If you are in imminent danger please call the Support and Information Line or come to a triage session.

Workshop Sessions:
Mondays 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM
Fridays 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM

Workshops are held at the WEAVE Counseling Center in downtown Sacramento at 1900 K Street. No advance registration is required.

The following rules are enforced:

  • No latecomers admitted
  • Children may not attend; childcare is not available
  • No partners admitted
  • Support persons welcome, one per client

Before you start counseling at WEAVE, we ask that you attend a triage session.

Triage Assessment is available for those who need immediate help responding to abuse or violence. The triage process involves talking to a WEAVE Advocate who helps assess your level of danger, helps you prepare a safety plan and provides referrals for appropriate services.

Free Walk-in Triage is available, on a first come, first served basis:

* Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10 am - 1 pm
* Wednesdays: 4 pm - 7 pm
* Thursdays: 10 am - 1 pm (Spanish speaker available)

Group Counseling sessions are a structured support group providing a combination of information and a safe space to share your experiences. Each week there is a different topic that relates to dealing with domestic violence, including anger, boundaries, communication, non-abusive relationships, and more. To register for group counseling come in for a triage intake session.

Individual Counseling sessions are available as well. Both group and individual counseling is available on a sliding scale basis.
