Counseling Services for Adults

Crisis Line

WEAVE’s counseling program for survivors of domestic violence provides a safe environment for discussion and the tools necessary to improve self-esteem, self-determination and safety.

Before you start counseling at WEAVE, we ask that you attend an Orientation Session. This will provide you with important information about domestic violence and WEAVE’s services. If you are in imminent danger please inform a counselor at the orientation.

Orientation Sessions:
Mondays 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM
Fridays 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM

Orientations are held at the WEAVE Counseling Center in downtown Sacramento at 1900 K Street. No advance registration is required.

The following rules are enforced:

  • No latecomers admitted
  • Children may not attend; childcare is not available
  • No partners admitted
  • Support persons welcome, one per client

Group Counseling sessions are a structured support group providing a combination of information and a safe space to share your experiences. Each week there is a different topic that relates to dealing with domestic violence, including anger, boundaries, communication, non-abusive relationships, and more. To register for group counseling, fill out a form at the Orientation Session.

Individual Counseling is provided in up to eight sessions. To register for individual counseling, fill out a form at the Orientation Session.
