Description: True is part of WEAVE’s retail operations whose primary purpose is to support, both directly and indirectly, programs assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The True Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising all activities related to TRUE’s retail operations, Suited for Success program and client merchandise voucher services. The position oversees the collection, processing and distribution of in-kind donations, and buying and selling merchandise for resale. Responsibilities include: donor and customer relations; marketing and social media; retail management operations; employee and volunteer scheduling, supervision and training; organizing and supervising special event clothing drives; ensuring safety procedures and quality control; and general retail duties as needed. Additionally, the True Store Manager will work closely with the Director of Retail Operations to ensure sales reconciliations and financial reports are delivered in a timely manner, and oversee budgetary compliance. Variable schedule, some evenings and weekends required.

Skills Required:

  • In-depth understanding of current fashion trends and thrift store best practices
  • Ability to bridge communication with all WEAVE locations to assist clients in need,
  • and strengthen collaborative efforts with other community organizations
  • Superior customer service skills and cultural competency
  • The ability to organize, lead, support, and effectively work as part of a team
  • Understanding of sales reports, financial data, and inventory controls
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and meet deadlines, while prioritizing workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
  •  Professional demeanor

Qualifications: A BA in business, marketing, fashion merchandising or related field plus 2- 4 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment; or an AA degree in business, marketing, fashion merchandising or related field and 5+ years of supervisory experience in a retail environment. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Employment contingent on proof of a valid California driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance. Satisfactory results from a criminal background check will be required.
