Last week WEAVE was able to celebrate the completion of our Children's Building Renovations with our donors and staff.
Each year over 300 women and children find safety, security and strength at WEAVE’s Domestic Violence Safehouse. Since 1984, our Children’s Building has been a safe haven allowing children to play, heal and learn in a safe and healthy environment.
In April the Children’s Building was remodeled adding both interior and exterior improvements to help ensure a safe place where children can grow and overcome violence. The Children’s Building is also home to our onsite charter school, led by a K-12 credentialed bilingual teacher. This program allows children to learn in a safe and supportive environment, while staying on pace with their peers.
Thanks to the help of many generous donors, including The Association of Commercial Real Estate and HomeAid, the space is now complete with a library and play area designed for children of all ages.
