Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Programs Officer, this position is responsible for the oversight, implementation and effective management of the crisis response services programs, operations and staff. As a member of the leadership team, the Manager ensures quality service delivery for these programs and personnel, and helps to ensure the programs are operating in an effective and efficient manner in order to provide continuity of care of services that are client focused and mission driven. This position’s responsibility includes recruiting, hiring and training staff/interns/volunteers, grant writing and monitoring, ensuring grant outcomes are met, monitoring and reporting financial budgets, and serving as the face of the program to the external community. The Manager will also cultivate and maintain working relationships with social service agencies in the community including legal, medical, educational and housing services.  The Manager will establish and implement policies, procedures and safety guidelines as needed.  This position will oversee our 24 hours; 7 days a week crisis response operations. This position ensures success of the overall programs and all of its components, as well as contributes to the overall success of the agency.

Skills Required:

  • Overall program administration, including the 24 hour Support and Information Line, Sexual Assault Response Team, and Domestic Violence Response Team.
  • Grant writing, reporting, compliance and monitoring
  • Counseling skills
  • Policy development and administration for Response Services programs
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, training, developing and supervising staff – including employees, interns and volunteers – preferably in a crisis intervention and sexual assault setting
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate programs for the needs of individual clients and oversee client files
  • Experience with trauma informed, strength based and client centered approach
  • Community outreach and development
  • Budget development and administration
  • Ability to ensure transparency in communication throughout the organizational structure
  • Ensure that staff are scheduled to maintain safe and competent round-the-clock delivery of services
  • Adherence to professional confidentiality guidelines
  • Ability to interact with multi-cultural, ethnically diverse clients (donors, DV and SA victims and their families, partners, contract and grant administrators, funders, etc.)
  • Be open and flexible to ever changing responsibilities and to adapt and create systems as client and agency needs change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications: Education, Training, and Job Knowledge Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral science field. LCSW or MFT preferred. And three years of management experience in a sexual assault/domestic violence program or crisis response setting. Or, Bachelor’s degree in human services field and five years management experience
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid California driver license, reliable transportation, and proof of current vehicle insurance
  • Satisfactory results from DOJ background check
