Walter has been a respected Commercial Real Estate Broker in Sacramento since 1981 and is owner of the Sperry Van Ness/Walter Helm franchise. Walter is also the Northern California Regional Director for the Sperry Van Ness Asset Recovery Team (one of ten in a company of 850 agents). Walter’s philanthropic efforts are extensive; Walter was recently named the Rotarian of the Year for the Point West Rotary Club. Walter also completed a motorcycle ride around the perimeter of Australia as part of the Polio Plus fundraiser. Walter was also the 2004 Humanitarian of the Year for Sperry Van Ness International. He is a past pilot and former board member of AirLifeLine which provided medical flights at no cost. Walter is currently training his seventh puppy for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI).
