Cinderella’s Closet provides prom dresses and accessories free of charge to juniors and seniors enrolled in and attending a Sacramento County high school and are in financial need.

Who Qualifies?
Any junior or senior currently enrolled in and attending a Sacramento County High School whom you feel is in need. Cinderella’s Closet is only for major dances (i.e. homecoming and prom).

Ineligible or Uncomfortable?
If the parent/student does not feel comfortable getting a referral from any of the referring par-ties required below or is ineligible, there is another option. We also have dresses for sale that any-one can purchase at WEAVE’s Thrift Store (2401 Arden Way, Sacramento CA) for $20, $30 and $40. The majority of these dresses have only been worn once, if at all.

Referrals can only come from a school counselor, teacher or supervisor who can verify financial need. View and print referral form here.

PLEASE NOTE: Cinderella's Closet is a volunteer-run program and is available by appointment only. Girls receiving dresses through Cinderella's Closet must be referred by a school counselor, teacher, supervisor, or social service agency who can verify financial need. Referral confirmation is required for all appointments.
