WEAVE's Children's Education Program provides a program to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. The curriculum is entitled Safe Families: Breaking the Cycle of Violence and focuses on helping children understand the problem of domestic violence and identify ways to stay safe.
WEAVE Children's Education Program staff also conducts presentations to various members of the community having contact with children such as teachers, pediatricians, school administrators, early child development specialists, child care providers, nurses and social workers. This is done to provide information on the impact that domestic violence has on children and how to identify the warning signs that indicate that domestic violence may be occurring in the child's home.
