It takes a community to end domestic violence and sexual assault; WEAVE needs your support.

New Safehouse Campaign

It takes a whole community to stop domestic violence.

This reality drives the work of WEAVE everyday. Throughout our history, the community has helped ensure safe and confidential shelter to women and children experiencing domestic violence. In doing so, our community has sheltered over 16,000 women and children in the past 30 years.

  • In the last five years, the existing WEAVE Safehouse has provided a safe haven to 1,877 women and 1,765 children.
  • Unfortunately, the WEAVE Safehouse has often been at capacity and more than 3,200 women plus their children were assisted in finding alternative shelter.

While we continue to work to end domestic violence, ensuring that any family experiencing domestic violence has access to safe and confidential shelter remains a priority. Fortunately, WEAVE has a plan to meet the need.

We need your help.
The new Safehouse will be built and equipped at a cost of $4 million. WEAVE has secured $1 million in state Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) funds. The remaining $3 million is currently being raised from our community.

We are almost at our goal! Please see our most current funding progress report and see who has already joined WEAVE in creating a New Home and New Hope for survivors of domestic violence.
