Controller

Regular, Full Time, 40 hours/week

Description: The Controller will manage the accounting operations of the organization including: department and project budgeting, auditing, payroll and related personnel costs, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger allocations, and financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal policies and procedures. In addition, the individual in this position will ensure compliance with grant contracts, develop and implement financial systems, manage internal checks and balance procedures, present needed modifications, maintain fixed asset allocation, prepare and input year-end close entries as well as prepare and interpret accounting reports for senior management and the Board of Directors, and oversee day to day performance of accounting staff.

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, financial management is required and 5+ years related experience. In addition, this person will have 3+ years of supervisory, administrative, and fiscal management responsibility experience. The ideal candidate will poses organizational skills, along with extensive hands on knowledge of accounting software, effective project management skills and use of sound independent judgment under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor. Verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Thrift Store Sales Associate

Part Time, 20+ hours/week
Salary: $8.50 per hour

Description: WEAVE's Carmichael and Arden thrift store has an immediate part-time position available for an experienced and reliable Thrift Store Sales Associate to: sort, price, and display merchandise, operate cash register, collect donations, and assist with store operations. This position will be a floating position between the Carmichael and Arden Thrift Store, and therefore reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have six months of retail experience, ability to relate in a non-judgmental manner with clients staff. High school diploma or GED preferred.
